Police search for suspect in Prairie Village home invasion

Police were searching Friday for a suspect in a recent home invasion in the 5100 block of West 75th Street in Prairie Village, Kan.

According to police, the suspect rang the door bell then forced his way inside when the victim answered.

The suspect went through the home stealing various items, then forced the victim into a room in the home. He fled the scene in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male, between 20- to 30-years-old, 6-foot-2 with a muscular build and a short buzzed style haircut. He wore dark pants and a royal blue t-shirt.

Police did not release information on the suspect’s vehicle.

The victim reported a minor hand injury.
