KC police investigate shooting after wounded man seeks help near 12th and Colorado

Kansas City police are investigating a shooting after officers encountered a wounded man Wednesday morning near 12th Street and Colorado Avenue.

The man was shot while driving his pickup truck and drove to seek help about 9 a.m., according to police.

Police said it was unclear where the shooting occurred.

The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
