Person seriously injured in shooting near 27th, Benton in KC

Police were investigating a shooting that seriously injured a person Saturday in Kansas City.

The shooting was reported shortly before 5:10 p.m. near 27th Street and Benton Boulevard.

A motive for the shooting was not known Saturday evening.
