KCPD arrest man who threatened to set house on fire if made to leave

Kansas City police arrested a man late Tuesday after he threatened to set a residence on fire if a woman who lived there forced him to leave.

Officers responded to the house in the 6000 block of East 16th Terrace to check on a suicidal person. The officers detected a strong odor of gasoline when they walked into the house.

They arrested the man without incident. No injuries were reported.

No other details were released.
