KC man says he and girlfriend were attacked, held at gunpoint by intruder

A Kansas City man said a gunman broke into his house late Monday and held him and his girlfriend at gunpoint.

Officers responded to the residence in the 100 block of Drury Avenue around 9:46 p.m.

The victim said the gunman struck him several times with the weapon. The intruder then fired several shots while inside the house before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Police did not have a detailed a description of the gunman.
