KC checkpoint yields five DUI arrests
Kansas City police, in conjunction with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, arrested five impaired drivers during a sobriety checkpoint late Saturday and early Sunday at 634 Prospect.
Police stopped 292 vehicles. One driver was cited for hazardous driving, three were cited for other traffic violations and two had city warrants, said Sgt. Christopher Bentch, the DUI section supervisor.
