Kansas City man killed in wreck near Cameron

A Kansas City man died Saturday in a single-vehicle accident near Cameron, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

According to an accident report, Erik J. Quick, 35, was driving a Ford Escape north on Route HH about six miles southeast of Cameron in Caldwell County. His vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, and its undercarriage struck an embankment in a private driveway.

The car went airborne, the report said, and overturned a couple times. The driver was ejected through the sunroof.

The exact time of the accident wasn’t clear, but the patrol said it occurred some time after midnight Saturday morning.

Quick was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
