A Platte City man is in custody after prosecutors in Platte County accused him of statutory sodomy more than seven years after the purported acts.
Joshua Lay, 35, was arrested Thursday and charged Friday with two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy. He is accused of having deviate sex with a child under the age of 14 in January 2010.
A judge set a $100,000 cash-only bail for Lay, who remained in Platte County jail Friday evening.
