Reward increased to $10,000 in southwest Kansas City shooting

A reward of $10,000 is being offered in the assault of a man shot during an attempted carjacking outside his southwest Kansas City home.

The victim remains hospitalized in serious condition after being shot three times in the Feb. 16 attack in the 1000 block of West 111th Street, officials said. His dog was shot to death during the incident.

Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers officials said Tuesday that an anonymous donor has added $8,000 to the previous $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
