KC man, 54, indicted in bank robbery
A 54-year-old Kansas City man faced a bank robbery indictment Tuesday for allegedly taking $3,000 from the Bank of America on Aug. 4.
The charges alleged that Harris entered the bank in the 6300 block of Prospect, cut in line and told a teller “give me the money,” according to court records. The teller then asked if Harris had a “note or something.”
Harris purportedly obliged by writing a note, but asked for less money when the teller put $5,000 on the counter.
Raytown police arrested Harris the next day after he complained of chest pains at a convenience store. Harris allegedly told officers that he had robbed the bank the day before.
