Three charged in Family Dollar armed robbery in Kansas City, Kan.
Three men were charged late Friday with the armed robbery Tuesday of the Family Dollar store at 13th Street and Quindaro Boulevard in Kansas City, Kan.
The robbery occurred about 10:50 p.m. Investigators have said they were exploring whether that robbery may be connected with a string of other armed robberies in recent days in both Missouri and Kansas, including one early Wednesday in which an off-duty Wyandotte County sheriff’s deputy was shot multiple times and severely injured.
The men charged in the Family Dollar case are Dyron M. King, 24, of Kansas City, Kan., Cecil D. Meggerson, 35, of Kansas City, Kansas, and Charles D. Bowser, 18, of Kansas City. Each is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, one count of conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and one count of criminal possession of a firearm.
All three are in the Wyandotte County jail with bond set at $1 million each.
The investigation into the other armed robberies continues.
