Kansas City police are investigating the possible sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl at a teen party last month.

The Feb. 12 party occurred at a Kansas City house.

Kansas City police learned about it late the next night after the girl was taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital, according to police reports.

The girl told police she had been “hanging out” with two other students when they met up with several others and ended up at the home of another student.

The report does not name the students involved. It does say five people are possible suspects.

The girl told police she was given several shots of vodka. She then asked for a soda and received an already opened can.

After drinking the soda, the girl said she started feeling “weird” and lost consciousness, according to the report.

She awoke naked on the bathroom floor. Another student also was naked.

“She did not know what happened to her while she was passed out,” the police report said.

After returning home the next day, the girl told her parents what happened.

The family took her to the hospital so a sexual assault examination could be conducted, according to the report.

In the weeks since, students and parents have told The Star that many at the party attended Pembroke Hill and Rockhurst High School.

Pembroke Hill officials released a written statement Friday saying: “We are not able to discuss any situation that might involve any of our students who are minors.”

A Rockhurst spokesman said he could not comment because it was an ongoing police matter.
