KCK police investigating homicide

Kansas City, Kan., police are investigating an apparent homicide Wednesday after finding a passenger dead in a vehicle stopped near 63rd Street and Parallel Parkway.

Officers dispatched about 11:45 a.m. to the 6100 block of Leavenworth Road to investigate shots fired located the vehicle containing the victim, whom police described as being in his early 30s. He appeared to have been shot in the head, police said.
