Gunman robs woman parked in Northeast Kansas City, then fires shots into her van
A woman told Kansas City that she was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday evening after she parked her car at the intersection of Gladstone Boulevard and North White Avenue to make a phone call.
Police were called to the scene just after 8 p.m. The victim said while she was parked, a car pulled up behind her and a man walked up to her van. The motorist, who was armed with a handgun, demanded the woman’s jewelry and purse. She complied.
The gunman stepped away from the woman’s van and fired two shots into the rear passenger’s side door. The robber then got back into his car and sped west on Gladstone Boulevard.
The woman was not harmed. Police did not have a detailed description of the gunman.
