A man was shot and killed late Tuesday on Kansas City’s East Side, police said.

Officers were called about 11:27 p.m. to the 3600 block of Wabash Avenue on a report of shots being fired. When they arrived, they found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound, according to Capt. Stacey Graves, a police spokeswoman.

Police said the victim was a black man in his late 20s. No other information was available.
