Motorcyclist killed in Cass County crash

A 21-year-old Harrisonville man was killed Saturday when his motorcycle and a car collided head-on Saturday in Cass County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reported that James T. Sutton was killed about 2:35 p.m. Saturday in the collision on Missouri 2 just west of 263rd Street.

According to the patrol’s report, Sutton was eastbound when he tried to pass another eastbound vehicle and collided with the westbound car. A 70-year-old woman driving the car suffered serious injuries. Her 72-year-old husband suffered moderate injuries, according to the patrol.
