Police identify man fatally shot during armed robbery in KC’s Northeast area
Kansas City police have released the name of a 35-year-old man who mortally wounded during a robbery early Tuesday at St. John and Cypress avenues.
Corey L. Walls of Kansas City told police he was accosted by a gunman while he was walking in the area. The gunman took personal items from Walls and shot him.
Police arrived and found Walls sprawled on the sidewalk after being shot.
Walls was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
