Man steals undisclosed amount of cash from Central Bank in KC

Federal investigators said a man walked into the Central Bank branch on Independence Avenue and stolen an undisclosed amount of cash Wednesday.

The robbery happened just before 1 p.m. at the branch located in the 2300 block of Independence Avenue. Authorities said a man in his 60s gave a teller a note and demanded cash. No weapon was brandished. The man took the cash and fled.

The robber wore a ball cap and silver-rimmed glasses.
