Bodies of Linn County missing mom and son found, nephew charged
Two bodies found buried Tuesday night in rural southeast Kansas are thought to be a missing Linn County woman and her son, authorities said Wednesday.
Betty Mcnabb, 87, and Kenneth Mcnabb, 65, of Pleasanton, had been missing for several days.
The bodies were found on rural property west of Pittsburg, Kan., after an intensive four-day search, according to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
The KBI said Wednesday that autopsies and official identification are pending.
The nephew of Kenneth Mcnabb, 31-year-old David Mcnabb, of Pittsburg, was arrested Monday and is charged with second-degree murder, criminal desecration of a body, and interference with a law enforcement officer, according to the KBI.
