Man robs Leawood U.S. Bank inside grocery store

A man robbed a bank inside a Leawood grocery story Saturday afternoon, police said.

A man wearing a black suit jacket and wide-brimmed black hat approached a teller and announced the robbery about 2:45 p.m. at the U.S. Bank branch inside Price Chopper at 95th Street and Mission Road.

He fled east on foot through the store’s parking lot with an unknown amount of money, police said.
