Man charged in Mission shooting and marijuana robbery

Charges were filed Friday in connection with a shooting Sunday outside a Mission apartment complex.

David Carlos Washington, 25, of Kansas City, Kan., was charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated battery in connection with Feb. 22 incident at 51st Street and Lamar Avenue.

The victim suffered a wound to the wrist, Mission police said.

Documents filed in Johnson County District Court allege that Washington stole marijuana from the victim before shooting him.

Washington’s bond is set at $250,000.
