Gladstone police seek tips in 2012 stabbing death of Nancy J. Bowman
Gladstone police have again asked for help in solving the fatal stabbing of Nancy J. Bowman.
The renewed request comes near the two-year anniversary of the discovery of her body in a heavily wooded area near Mountain View Apartments near 61st Street and Bircain Place.
Bowman, 52, was last seen alive on July 31, 2012, as she was walking toward Gladstone Fire Station No. 1, 6118 North Oak Trafficway.
She was reported missing on Aug. 2, 2012, and her body was found Aug. 8, 2012.
Police said at the time that she had been stabbed several times and her body was left at the site for several days. Her death was ruled a homicide.
To help generate leads in the case, Lamar Advertising has provided a billboard to Crime Stoppers Greater Kansas City at southbound U.S. 71 and 22nd Street in Kansas City.
Anyone with information about her death is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
Anyone providing information leading to an arrest in the case could be eligible for up to a $2,000 reward.
