KCK man sentenced for $39 million methamphetamine conspiracy
A 38-year-old Kansas City, Kan., methamphetamine trafficker was sentenced Friday to life plus 30 years in federal prison.
Federal prosecutors said that Vicencio Olea-Monarez was part of the drug trafficking organization responsible for distributing more than $39 million worth of methamphetamine and marijuana in the Kansas City area.
A federal court jury in Kansas City, Kan., found Olea-Monarez guilty of multiple counts for his role in coordinating shipments of drugs into the area.
He was one of 10 defendants charged in the case.
