Police were investigating a shooting early Thursday in Kansas City’s Northeast area that left the victim with life-threatening injuries.

Police responded to the shooting about 3:30 a.m. near Scarritt and North White avenues.

The victim reportedly was shot while driving along Scarritt. Police found the victim in the car a few blocks away from the shooting.
