KC police searching for tractor that disappeared from a field near KCI
The John Deere tractor was last seen on Oct. 22 in its usual spot — a grassy field across from a home not far from the Kansas City International Airport. But the next day the green and white tractor was gone.
Was the vehicle driven off? Loaded? Hauled away?
Kansas City police aren’t sure. The tractor’s cab was locked and the same key is needed to start the engine, the department said in a release.
Those with information about a stolen John Deere tractor, brush hog and implement from an area near 104th Street and North Congress Avenue are encouraged to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
Information can also be shared at www.KCcrimestoppers.com, or by texting TIP452 and your information to 274637. Tips are anonymous.
The cost of the stolen equipment is estimated to be about $78,000, and those with information that leads to an arrest could receive up to $2,000 in reward money.
