Shooting reported in Kansas City

Kansas City police are investigating the shooting of a person found in a bullet-riddled wrecked car Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday to the area of 23rd Street and Park Avenue where they found the victim in a vehicle that had crashed into a pole.

Police said it appeared that the man was shot near 25th Street and Park and drove through an alley before the car crashed. A gun was found inside the victim’s car, according to police.

The victim was taken to a hospital, reportedly in serious condition. Police said they had no suspect information.
