Police investigate possible abduction in Northeast KC
Kansas City police are investigating a possible abduction that occurred early Thursday in which a woman was taken at gunpoint.
Police said the victim has been located and reportedly not harmed.
Officers were sent to Sixth Street and Van Brunt Boulevard on a reported abduction just after 3:30 a.m.
The caller said the female victim was abducted in the 4800 block of Independence Avenue by several people driving a silver Lincoln Town Car with tinted windows.
Police searched the area but did not find the victim.
The victim was later dropped at a police station. The alleged abductors remained at large Thursday.
Police did not have a detailed description and no other information about in the incident was immediately available.
