KC homeowner in critical condition after being shot during robbery

A Kansas City homeowner is in critical condition Friday after two intruders forced their way into the residence during a robbery.

The incident was reported around 3:30 a.m. in the 8100 block of Brooklyn Avenue. Officers arrived and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. A witness said two people came in and shot the victim during the holdup.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Police did not have a detailed description of the assailants.
