Suspect convicted of manslaughter in KC killing

A Jackson County jury convicted a Kansas City man Friday in the January 2014 death of Rondell Robinson.

Jurors found Jermaine A. Lane, 36, guilty of voluntary manslaughter, Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker tweeted Saturday.

Lane and Robinson began fighting in the backyard of a home in the 7000 block of Jackson Avenue the evening of Jan. 28, court records said. Police found Robinson’s body the next day. An autopsy determined that he died from multiple blunt force injuries.
