Shooting near Kansas City high school leaves one person injured
Kansas City police investigated a shooting that injured one person Monday afternoon near the Central Academy of Excellence high school.
The shooting was reported about 4 p.m. near 33rd Street and Monroe Avenue and was not connected to anyone at the school, police said. One injured person arrived at a nearby fire station and was taken to a hospital before police arrived.
The condition of the injured person was unknown. Police had no information about a suspect.
The investigation continued.
