Woman fights off attempted abductor in Overland Park
A woman used a chemical spray to fight off a man who tried to abduct her Friday morning in Overland Park, according to police.
Overland Park police said the incident occurred about 7:15 a.m. Friday in the 10500 block of Barkley Street.
The woman told officers that a man grabbed her, but she fought back and used a chemical spray.
The man was last seen running west in the direction of Metcalf Avenue. The woman was treated for minor injuries.
Police said the man was described as a tall, skinny white male. He was wearing a black or dark blue hooded sweatshirt with a logo on the front pocket and dark pants.
An older white Buick sedan seen earlier in the area may have been involved, according to police.
