Identity of KCK homicide victim released

A man fatally shot Monday afternoon in Kansas City, Kan., was identified Tuesday as 25-year-old Markie T. Murray.

Kansas City, Kan., police said they were called about 2:40 p.m. Monday to an apartment complex in the 7300 block of State Avenue on a report of shots fired.

Officers found Murray dead from a gunshot wound.

Police have not released any information about a suspect and ask anyone with information about the case to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
