Kansas City police are investigating an assault that left a man with a severe head injury.
The incident was reported just before 10 p.m. Sunday in the 2900 block of Quincy Avenue. A man told police that he and his girlfriend arrived at the residence and found the front door had been kicked in and blood was inside the residence, police said.
The man located his roommate inside the home; he was covered with blood and incoherent. The man called 911.
The victim was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
