Suspect in Excelsior Springs bank robbery arrested at Pleasant Valley QuikTrip
A suspect in an Excelsior Springs bank robbery Monday afternoon was taken into custody about 15 miles away at a Pleasant Valley QuikTrip, according to authorities.
The FBI said shortly after 4 p.m. that it received a report of a robbery at NBKC Bank near U.S. 69 and Patsy Lane.
About an hour later, Pleasant Valley police took a suspect into custody at QuikTrip near U.S. 69 and Pleasant Valley Road.
Police identifed the person as a suspect based on a vehicle description, according to the FBI. Several local police departments helped in the investigation.
The FBI did not immediately release details Monday about the robbery or the suspect.
