Former Bonner Springs teacher gets probation in drug case
A former Bonner Springs Elementary School teacher has been placed on probation after pleading guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia.
Karen Kay Marshall, 52, resigned her position in June after she was charged in Johnson County District Court with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Marshall was charged with possessing the drug and a pipe on March 24 in Prairie Village.
Prosecutors dismissed the felony drug charge in exchange for her plea to the misdemeanor paraphernalia charge, according to court records.
She was placed on probation for one year and ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation, according to the records.
