Civic groups breathe life into community causes
Rotary clubs have helped to wipe out polio, Lions have aided the blind and Lee’s Summit’s civic organizations have all added to the quality of life in our community, giving aid to social service organizations and providing volunteers for many events. If you want to get involved, here’s a list where you might find the group you’d like to join.
▪ Kiwanis Club of Lee’s Summit
The Kiwanis Club of Lee’s Summit meets from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays in the Missouri Room at the Lakeside Grille in John Knox Village, 600 N.W. Shamrock, Lee’s Summit. Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m.
