Lee’s Summit to hold Future Tigers camp

Registration is still open for the Lee’s Summit High School Future Tigers Football Camp.

The camp will be held July 17-20 from 8 to 9:30 p.m. on the school’s turf game field at Bud Hertzog Stadium. It is open to all students entering second through sixth grades next school year.

The camp will be staffed by Lee’s Summit High varsity and freshman coaching staffs as well as some guest coaches. Participants will receive hours of instruction in stance and proper football positions, correct throwing and catching techniques, correct blocking and tackling progressions with bags and correct running and training techniques. There will also be seven-on-seven activities and punt, pass and kick competitions.

Each athlete participating will receive a T-shirt. Equipment needed will be provided except for workout clothes and shoes.
