Business briefs: New photo exhibit at Prairiefire
Prairiefire exhibit
An exhibit featuring the work of New York-based photographer Roberto Dutesco has opened at the Museum at Prairiefire in Overland Park, The exhibit, called “Wild Horses of Sable Island,” runs through June 21 and features 33 of Dutesco’s photographs.
The photograhs focus on Sable Island, a small island more than 150 miles southeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The island is home to about 500 untamed horses.
Dutesco created a documentary about the horses during his visits to the island, and helped turn it into a protected federal park —meaning no one can visit it without the Canadian government’s approval.
