Menorah Medical Center CEO joins Leawood chamber board
Steve Wilkinson, the president and chief executive officer of Menorah Medical Center, has been appointed to the Leawood Chamber of Commerce board of directors. Wilkinson has led Menorah since 1997.
The Leawood chamber’s chairman this year is Nancy McAuley of McAuley Crandall PA.
Olathe forumThe Olathe Chamber of Commerce has announced a legislative town hall forum at the Olathe City Hall on Saturday. Chamber members will hear from elected officials on issues in the Kansas Legislature this session. The event, which is free to members, is scheduled to run from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Healthy milestoneThe Ask-A-Nurse Resource Center, which has been fielding health questions since 1986, recently received its three millionth call. It was from someone concerned about food poisoning. The center, operated by Shawnee Mission Medical Center, employs 24 registered nurses who field an average of 250 to 300 calls a day, or about 100,000 a year.
