Overland Park Regional adds certified nurse midwife
Jamie Thompson, a certified nurse midwife, has joined Specialists in Women’s Care, an affiliate of Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Thompson has more than 10 years of experience of working with patients and is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. Overland Park Regional began offering midwifery more than 20 years ago.
New CareSpot locationThe fifth area CareSpot urgent care center has opened at 3500 W. 95th St. in Leawood. The 3,200-square-foot facility is on 95th Street, east of Mission Road and near the Price Chopper grocery store. CareSpot operates the center in a partnership with HCA Midwest Health System. The facility is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.
Blue Valley school bondsMoody’s Investors Service has assigned an Aaa rating to $61 million in general obligation bonds being isued by the Blue Valley School District. The bonds are being sold to help finance a variety of capital improvement and technology upgrades at district facilities. Following the sale, the district will have about $360.4 million in general obligation debt outstanding.
