Mariner Holdings expands retirement services business

Mariner Holdings, the Leawood-based financial services company, has expanded its retirement advisory practice.

The company said it is partnering with David Stofer and Mark Nothnagel on the business, called Mariner Retirement Advisors. The business will focus on providing 401(k) advisory services to plan sponsors.

Stofer and Nothnagel were formerly with SageView Advisory Group. Their team will combine with Mariner’s existing retirement services practice.

Land sale

Heck Land Co. said 158 acres located in Douglas County, Kan., six miles west of US 56 and US 59, has been sold. The company represented the Robertson Family Trust in the sale. The buyer was not identified.

Sabates adds two doctors

Sabates Eye Centers, based in Leawood, said it has added two doctors to its staff.

Dr. Sean Gratton, a neurologist, will practice out of the company’s Leawood and Independence locations, as well as at the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. David Hackett, an optometrist, will practice at the firm’s locations in Leawood and at St. Luke’s North.
