Olathe engineering firm expands in Texas

Texas expansion

Olathe-based Terracon Consultants said it plans to acquire an engineering firm in El Paso, Texas. Financial terms of the deal, scheduled to close the end of this week, were not disclosed.

The acquisition of Raba Kistner Consultants Inc.’s El Paso office will expand Terracon’s presence in Texas, Terracon said.

Raba Kistner’s El Paso employees, equipment and current projects will be combined into Terracon’s operations. Raba Kistner was founded in 1968 and specializes in environmental, geotechnical and facilities engineering. The company will continue to operate its other office locations.

Terracon was started 50 years ago, and is an employee-owned engineering consulting firm with more than 3,500 employees.
