Terracon Consultants acquires second California company

Terracon Consultants Inc. has made its second acquisition in California over the past month. The Olathe-based engineering consulting firm purchased RGA Environmental Inc. for an undisclosed price.

RGA, based in Emeryville, Cal. near San Francisco, specializes in hazardous materials, industrial hygiene, safety, emergency response, litigation and environmental construction management services.

The company has 65 employees and has additional offices in Seattle and Irvine, Cal.

In April, Terracon purchased Neil O. Anderson and Associates based in Lodi, Cal.

Terracon has more than 3,000 employees in 140 offices in 40 states.

The American Museum of Natural History in the Prairiefire development at 135th Street and Nall Avenue in Overland Park is seeking volunteers as greeters, guides, and facilitators in the Kids’ Discovery Room and for special events.

Tech Electronics has installed a new telecommunications system for the Board of Public Utilities’ electric and water services in Kansas City, Kan. The St. Louis-based company said the installation included 600 phones and a new software system.
