Business briefs: Olathe Med Center opens Hospice House
Hospice center
Olathe Medical Center has formally opened its Hospice House at 15310 S. Marion St. in the Olathe Medical Park. The facility, at 11,110-square-feet, features eight individual patient/family suites, with the ability for future expansion.
Wally & Co. closes
Chris Wally, who operated an Overland Park-based commercial real estate firm focused on tenants, has joined CBRE’s Kansas City office. Wally closed Wally & Co. on Oct. 1. Melissa Augustine also moved from Wally to CBRE.
Engineer expands
Olsson Associates, an engineering and design firm with offices in Olathe, Overland Park and Kansas City, has announced plans to acquire Ochsner Hare & Hare. The purchase of the Kansas City-based planning and landscape architecture design firm, is expected to be completed on Nov. 21.
Ochsner Hare & Hare, which has 10 employees, will remain in its current location at 1801 McGee St. It was started in 1910 with the father-son team of Hare & Hare. Ralph Ochsner acquired the business in 1979.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Olsson has 900 employees and 25 offices in the Midwest and Southwest, including its headquarters in Lincoln, Neb.
The two firms have worked together on several projects, including The legends at Village West in western Wyandotte County and Summit Fair shopping center in Lee’s Summit.
