Environmental forum
The 13th annual Community Forum on Kansas Environmental Issues is scheduled for Oct. 2 at Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village. The event is sponsored by the Kansas Natural Resource Council, the Prairie Village Environmental Committee and True Blue Women.
The topic: “Environmental Policy and Politics in Kansas: Which One Needs More Help?”
This year’s featured speakers are Joshua Svaty, vice president of the Kansas Land Institute; Kimberly Svaty, owner of Gencur Svaty Public Affairs; and Zack Pistora, vice president of the Kansas Natural Resource Council. The program moderator is Burke Griggs, assistant attorney general for Kansas.

Cerner partnership
Cerner Corp said it is partnering with Rainbow Services Inc., a crisis stabilization center, as a test site for Cerner’s behavioral health electronic medical records. RSI, a subsidiary of Wyandot Center, is located on Rainbow Boulevard near 36th Street in Kansas City, Kan. It provides a sobering unit, crisis observation unit and a crisis stabilization unit for persons experiencing mental health and substance abuse crises.
Cerner, based in North Kansas City, said it is contributing software and licensing upgrades to the program.

Google support
EnGraph Software, a Lenexa company that specializes in creating geographic information system mapping software, has been selected by Google Inc. to serve as a case-study example of a Kansas business that is using e-commerce to achieve better business results.
EnGraph which is owned by Kyle Archer and Tim Hibbard, was founded in 1999.
Google said it helped provide $611 million of economic activity for more than 11,000 Kansas businesses and nonprofits in 2013.
