Send us your festive pet photos

913 is challenging its readers to send photos of their furry, scaly or feathered friends. We’re looking for pet-themed holiday photos or cards. Any animal, bird or reptile can be the subject of the photos. Whether your pet is a dog, cat, iguana, snake, cow, beetle, horse or clownfish, we want a holiday-themed picture featuring your pet.

Check out the pictures accompanying this article for ideas, or disregard them and think up your own creative way to showcase your animal friend. Here are our guidelines:

▪ Submit to: http://mingle.kansascity.com/photos/2015/holiday-pet-photos-2015/ Click on the “Share your shots” and upload your favorite holiday pet photo by Dec. 13.

▪ Online submissions only. Photos must be jpeg files you have taken. (Prints can be scanned and submitted electronically.) Please do not retouch images. Cropping and minimal sharpening are fine.

▪ Recommended sizes are a minimum of 200 dpi but no larger than 5 megabytes.

▪ Include a caption that lists the photographer’s name, contact information (phone and email), name of your pet and anyone in the photo. Feel free to tell us about your pet.
