Claridge Court senior living facility scores high
Claridge Court, a senior living center in Prairie Village, has scored well above industry benchmarks for employee satisfaction in a recent survey by the Holleran research firm. The senior living community, 8100 Mission Road, ranked in the top 4 percent of the 309 senior facilities in 36 states that were surveyed by Holleran. Claridge Court’s 91.5 percent satisfaction rating, which measures work climate, communication, teamwork, training and other workplace issues, is well above the Holleran average of 78.3 percent.
Executive additionJoe Torrago has been named chief operating officer at TradeNet Publishing Inc., a Gardner-based company that supplies magnets, erasable boards and other printed promotional materials. Torrago was previously a senior project manager and vice president at Hallmark Cards Inc.,where he worked for 16 years.
TradeNet, which was founded by 1986 by current president and chief executive Tom Mertz, has 150 employees.

• Business of the Year: The General Store Co., owned by Mike Cole.
• Downtown Spirit Award: The artists of Images Art Gallery, for designing, raising funds for, and painting a massive outdoor mural honoring the history of Overland Park.
