Husky, shepherd or tabby: Take your pick of these three precious pets in KC area

Krondon
Krondon Special to The Star

Krondon

Breed: Alaskan husky

Age: 4 years old

Do you love to play fetch? What about exploring new places? Well, Krondon, at Wayside Waifs, might be your new best friend. He loves the great outdoors and is a great active sidekick. This dog, who would do best in an active home, loves games of fetch and is also super affectionate. He loves life and has a great spirit. When he’s not exploring, Krondon enjoys quiet time and cuddles.

Krondon is required to go on a Slumber Paw-ty prior to finalizing adoption. This is an overnight in-home stay of seven to 10 days to make sure it’s a good fit for the potential adopter and the shelter pet.

Kiara Jane
Kiara Jane

Kiara Jane

Breed: Domestic shorthair

Age: 6 years old

Sweet and timid, Kiara Jane has a gentle heart and a strong voice. Once she acclimates to her surroundings, she can be quite the cuddler. She loves good conversation and has the cutest little voice when she is extra happy. She will need time to settle into a new home. With patience and space to feel safe, she will blossom into an affectionate companion.

Kiara Jane is also available for a Slumber Paw-ty. This is an overnight, in-home stay of seven to 10 days before finalizing adoption to ensure it’s a good fit for the shelter pet and potential adopters. Contact our team or visit Wayside Waifs to meet Kiara Jane.

Ace
Ace

Ace

Breed: German shepherd

Age: 1 year old

Ace is a smart, loyal and energetic German shepherd who’s ready to become your new best friend. He is fully potty trained, kennel-savvy and walks beautifully on a leash. Ace knows all his basic commands and is always eager to learn more — his intelligence makes training a breeze.

Ace is incredibly friendly and loves all humans, making him a fantastic companion for just about anyone. He gets along wonderfully with medium to large dogs and does well with children, too. However, Ace does have a high prey drive and will chase after cats, so he would do best in a cat-free home. He should also have a slow introduction to any new dog friends, especially smaller ones.

Ace is a calm and well-behaved boy when left alone. He enjoys sleeping most of the time and is perfectly content in his kennel. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and training partner who can also be a great adventure buddy, Ace is your dog.
