Galinda

Breed: Whippet mix

Age: 1 1/2 years

This sweet little girl at Melissa’s Second Chances will charm you with a delightful dance once she feels safe and secure. At first she might be a bit shy, but once she warms up, she loves being with her favorite person. Galinda’s favorite thing to do is snuggle up on your lap and be a loving companion.

She’s potty trained, learning to sit on command and always comes when called. Having lived with dogs in her previous home, she’s adjusting to her furry friends in her foster home and is making progress with the cats there, too — although she can’t resist chasing them if they dart away. If you’re ready to open your heart to this adorable cutie, submit an application to meet her in person. She can’t wait to meet you.

Stud Muffin

Breed: Domestic Shorthair

Age: 4 years

While this handsome boy has quite the suave name, he has had a very challenging life. His owner had to surrender him and shelter life was very stressful, so he is now staying in a foster home. He is learning to improve his communication skills and is really figuring things out.

He enjoys play time and is happy to snooze next to you. Some things still scare Stud Muffin, so he will need a patient home where he can feel safe. He is a pretty independent guy, but once he bonds with you, he’ll be your shadow. You can meet Stud Muffin by contacting the adoptions team at Wayside Waifs to set up a time.

Wayside Waifs is able to welcome visitors without an appointment. To learn about the adoption process and available animals, go here.
