Nina
Nina Special to The Star

Nina

Breed: American pit bull terrier mix

Age: 2 years old

Nina is lots of fun and always ready to go, go, go. She was transferred to Wayside from a shelter in rural Arkansas when they ran out of space for her. She’s made the most of her time here, keeping busy with activities, and hanging out with staff and volunteers. She loves toys, and enjoys chasing after them and tossing them in the air.

She is smart, and eager to learn, so she hopes you are ready for some training with her. She’s experienced some field trips and loves riding in the car and going to the local parks. She likes to pretend she’s a lap dog, so we hope you like cuddles. All that fun and she’s also housebroken. What more could you ask for? Nina can’t wait to share everything she loves with you.

Lily
Lily Teryn Jones Special to The Star

Lily

Breed: Domestic shorthair mix/calico

Age: 1 year old

Lily is a laid-back, sweet calico. She’s so graceful and mannerly. She seems a little shy at first, but once you get to know her, she loves to show you her sweet side. She can be full of energy, especially when playing with her favorite ring toy.

The staff members at Wayside consider her a champion ball toy player, as she will bat the toy back at lightning speed. But her dainty side loves to make biscuits, and she’d love to show you her special technique. She will do best in a calm and quiet environment that will let her be herself. It takes some time to see her shine, but then you get to see the amazing Lily and what she has to offer. Are you ready for a kitty with a sweet, calm and gentle disposition? Ask for Lily.
